Our Mission: To gather, recognize and celebrate the continuing annual commitment of each of our member veterinarians to provide some level of absolutely free spay neuter services to the needy animals of their choice, along with any other free services they choose to provide.

A milestone of sort!
This is our 50th Lucky Star News! Thanks to our volunteer webmaster/host, SGA Business Systems, back issues are found @ end of our Home Page. We welcome news from any Lucky Star practice & any news related to S/N. We publish every other month & keep it to 1 pg to be considerate of your time. (We look forward to the day our roster is so large we must go to a pg. 2!) We hope you’ll share it widely & are happy to help, if you supply the email addresses. We are especially grateful to YOU for sticking with Lucky Star all these years. Thank You!


Welcome Dr Sarah Barnes!
We are happy to welcome Dr. Barnes as a Lucky Star veterinarian. Dr. Barnes offers at home pet euthanasia, through her Eleos Veterinary Service, www.eleosvet.com based in Roseland. We read of her volunteer surgical service with others on Feb. 26th in a Spay Day event @ People for Animals which provided free S/N surgeries for 63 feral cats. Thank you, Dr. Barnes for that day of service & for your 2012 Lucky Star Pledge!

DOG POPULATION MANAGEMENT (DPM)
1st International Conference on DPM will be
Sept 4-8, 2012 @ the Food & Environment Research Agency, a UK government organi-zation w/ the largest concentration of verte-brate wildlife biologists in Europe. Main goal is to unite public sector w/ ecologists, econo-mists & specialists in animal welfare, animal heath & education, to share info & encourage collaboration on DPM world-wide, resulting in coordinated interdisciplinary approaches, shared research & innovative techniques.
