PETCO “ROUND UP”/SPAY ToDAY
East Hanover PETCO customers were offered chance to “round up” their purchase total to nearest dollar, resulting in $1,400 donation to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. Money will be used to spay/neuter animals awaiting adoption. Nationwide, PETCO “round up” raised $808,000!(Nov 7th ‘06 Daily Record, MorrisCo.)

numbers tell a familiar story
According to the current edition of the HSUS’s “Because You Care News”, two thirds of the estimated 3.5 million dogs in Mexico City are homeless. This is just one city in one country!

Every single surgery
It is hard to put into words the enormous good that is accomplished by every single spay neuter surgery! Generation after generation of animals numbering in the hundreds & more are spared all kinds of harm and abuse as a result of that single surgery! It is hard to think of any other single act that produces such an amazing enduring result for so many. Every single surgery is a gift brimming with kindness and compassion for all those that otherwise would have suffered and now will not! Our Lucky Stars are helping hundreds of animals, one surgery at a time. Those surgeries that they donate are a special gift for which “Thank you” seems such an inadequate response. I can’t help but think that all of the animals that they are helping are somehow, somewhere, watching and cheering for them. We certainly are!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
AND A SAFE, HEALTHY
AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
“May this be your Lucky Star!”
