“HAPPY NEUTER YEAR” 2021
All Residents of North Texas were invited to make a New Year’s Resolution to neuter their male dog during Spay Neuter Network’s (SNN’s) “HAPPY NEUTER YEAR” Campaign. SNN offered $30 neuter surgeries for male dogs under 39 lbs during January. Pet parents had to mention the “HAPPY NEUTER YEAR” campaign when booking their apmt. Campaign was based on availability. Funding 4 “Happy Neuter Year” was available 4 owned animals only. Rescues & non-profit animal organizations could contact SNN 4 special pricing. Vaccinations & other services were not included in $30 fee but were available @ added low cost. “Spay-getti Dinner” use to be my favorite S/N event name. For now, “Happy Neuter Year” has replaced it! Very creative these S/N Advocates!!

FEBRUARY 23, 2021 IS SPAY DAY !
Created by the Doris Day Animal League in 1995 as Spay Day USA, World Spay Day has been recognized by nearly 70 countries, shining a spotlight on the power of affordable, accessible S/N to save the lives of companion animals, community (feral & stray) cats & street dogs who might otherwise be put down in shelters or killed on the street. Individuals, Shelters, Rescues & Veterinarians hold special events & campaigns large and small to celebrate & participate on that day or all month long.(We’ve found LS’s in the past by reading about Spay Day events in which they participated!) Happy Spay Day to ALL!

LA’S CITYWIDE CAT TNR PROGRAM
In Dec 2020, LA’s City Council voted unanimously in favor of funding their new Citywide Cat TNR program, clearing the way for use of municipal funds to S/N 20,000 cats/yr while also providing ongoing funding for pet cats. Way to go LA!
