A Year of Progress:
As we approach our 1st-year, October anniversary, we want to thank all who have contributed so generously to produce such a good start!
We currently have 8 member veterinarians (Lucky Star Vets) in private practice and 1 spay neuter clinic participating, representing 7 hospitals in seven NJ towns.
Together these professionals have generously pledged 192 absolutely free spay neuter surgeries and other services for needy animals in 2004:

Publicity Produces A Website!

The Challenge Ahead:
Our member veterinarians are the life blood of the program. As their number increases, so does the help available to NJ’s needy animals.
The challenge ahead is to retain our current members and to recruit new ones. To that end, we will solicit feed back from member Vets to see if the program needs “fixing” (no pun intended!). We will also solicit ideas from many sources (including you!) on how to introduce the program to more Veterinarians.
Several initiatives are under consideration, such as: providing materials for Lucky Star Vets to share with their colleagues, & for the public to share with their vets.
Send us your ideas to find and enroll non member vets, some may already be known to do free surgeries, and to find businesses to thank, honor, & recognize all our Lucky Stars!
Our goal is to grow by 11 and enroll a total of 20 Lucky Star Vets for 2005!
