“PAWS-ing” PLEDGING TIL JUNE
Due to the extraordinary demands on all veterinary practices in NJ & the Country, we called a "Pledge Paws", to give participating Lucky Star veterinarians a chance to catch their breath. We’ll be in touch soon to seek pledges for 2022, hoping that things soon will be somewhat back to the time we all faintly but fondly recall!

KARMA CAT + ZEN DOG CELEBRATES
During March, this Milltown NJ group celebrated 12 yrs of saving lives! For March 25th, they plan a Snip+Chip @ People for Animals, Inc. clinic in their area to allow colony caretakers to get 75 community cats fixed & vaccinated for FREE. (At $74/cat, the event will cost KC+ZD $5,550.) Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue runs 100% on donations & provides FREE TNR services to their community as funds allow. https://karmacatzendog.org/

A newly published study finds the best way to manage free-roaming cat populations is through “frontloaded” Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), where 75% of the population is sterilized as quickly as possible, & any remaining (or new) cats are sterilized over time.
