“PYOMETRA” IN CATS & DOGS
A lifelong pet-parent & S/N advocate, I was totally ignorant re this condition until a recent event. Learning about it has made me value S/N even more! Veterinary professionals are of course very well informed re this painful & potentially deadly condition not often covered in the general “pet press.” This particular cat was brought in for S/N & the associated exam which disclosed the condition & resulted in her successful life-saving treatment. Ironically, S/N is not only a major ele-ment of treatment but prevents the condition. https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/reproductive/pyometra-cats-what-it-and-how-do-vets-treat-it#summary &
