Why is this dog smiling?
The San Antonio clinics of the Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) celebrated Mexican Independence Day on Sept 16th with a special FREE S/N day for Chihuahuas! This followed their July 4th event at which they hosted a FREE S/N day for “wiener dogs”, aka dachshunds!

EsterilSol Grant Program Launched
Alliance for Contraception in Cats & Dogs seeks funds for their new EsterilSol Small Grants Program to bring this injectable sterilant for male dogs to non profit groups outside the US. (Product not available in the US now) “This grant program provides a unique opportunity to introduce a non-surgical sterilant to a qualified organization in a needy community for a remarkably small investment. EsterilSol injections are available for less than $4 per dose, and full grants can be sponsored for just $3,000...” To donate $4 to “fix” 1 dog, to do more, or for more info, email:karen@acc-d.org
“There’s also a financial side.
It varies by community, but it’s about $100 for animal control to impound and euthanize a cat. Just in the Atlanta area alone, more than $15 million in tax dollars is spent annually dealing with stray and unwanted pets.”
