SURVEY FEEDBACK:
Here’s some of what we heard from our Lucky Star Veterinarians:
*Recognition Long Overdue- PFA asked us to list all of their veterinarians who generously give of their time in free surgeries to fulfill PFA’s pledge. You’ll now see their names individually here & on the “Pledges” pg. We are very happy to thank & recognize each of them as Lucky Star Veterinarians!
*New Ways to Reach Out- Some Lucky Stars are looking for new ways to find those in need of their free services. Today’s Animal Control Officer is a source of leads. ACO s would welcome the chance to offer free S/N surgeries to people in your community who are unaware that help is available. You can brief your ACO on the details of your offer & learn from them of their greatest need. Or you might want to reach out to shelters/ rescues.Enter zipcode @ www.petfinder.com, click on “find a shelter” for a list of nearby groups. Fixing every animal before adoption is any rescuers dream, a dream that your Lucky Star pledge can help achieve!
*Web Links Established- Requested links from our website to yours: Done! See “Pledges” pg. Happy to add more anytime. More survey feedback in October issue!
Friends of Roman Cats (FORC)Tour
Since 1991, Italy has banned killing healthy stray cats & dogs. “Street Cats” are fed by many gattare (cat lovers); others are cared for in sanctuaries. In 1991, FORC began working to establish TNR programs through-out Italy. Their 2012 Cats and Culture Tour Oct 9-21 visits some of Italy's most historic sites with an up-close look at TNR efforts there. San Fran Contact: Susan Wheeler,
