NJ COUNTIES,MUNICIPALITIES & TNVR
Per Wikipedia: “As of 2024, NJ is divided into 21 counties & 564 municipalities!” Google says: At least 5 NJ counties officially endorse or sponsor TNVR: Essex: County Commissioners have established a TNVR grant program that local nonprofits can use. (See below). Bergen: County website mentions S/N & TNR programs offered through its animal shelter & adoption center. Cape May: County website provides info & links to a low-cost feline clinic for TNR, stating that many municipalities in the county support & even fund the procedure. Monmouth: The Monmouth County SPCA runs a "Community Cats TNR Program" w/goal of stabilizing feral cat population county-wide. Atlantic: Program info mentions efforts to help "1000 cats" through a TNR program in the County. And, more than 150 NJ municipalities endorse or sponsor TNVR programs, & state-level bills have been introduced to provide grants to municipalities & counties for TNVR initiatives.” #s seem to say there’s MORE to be done?
